Check someone in as a Helper

Record eligible attendance from the restricted Helper workspace and refer blocked cases to an Owner or Admin.

Who this is for: Explicitly assigned Helper accounts.

Help when this task is blocked

Before you start

Choose the correct Open event. Resolve blocked admission through an Owner or Admin before recording attendance.

Check-in opens 60 minutes before the scheduled start and closes at the scheduled end, in the organization timezone. Read the window shown on the roster and refresh when it opens. An Owner or Admin can adjust it; an Open event does not by itself authorize early arrival recording.

Steps

  1. Open your Helper workspace and choose Check-in.
  2. Choose the correct Open event and search for the attendee.
  3. Read the attendee’s current state and every warning shown.
  4. If Check in is available and the attendee is eligible, select it and review the saved result.

Expected result

Eligible attendance is recorded for the selected event.

If you cannot finish

Check-in is blocked

Refer blocked attendees to an Owner or Admin.

I need to record payment or decide an outcome

Helpers cannot record payment, deny entry, decide outcomes or read Vetting notes.

The member Helper flag did not give access

A separate member Helper flag does not grant account access.

Why is check-in unavailable for a future event?

The check-in window has not opened. Check its displayed times and return when it opens. Only an Owner or Admin can adjust the window; resolving another admission blocker does not bypass timing.

Example: understand this in practice

Jordan appears in the fictional Helper roster but check-in is blocked. The Helper asks an Owner or Admin to resolve it; no payment or denial control is available to the Helper.

Names and situations are fictional.
